WIRU is a boutique Specialist Navigation provider established in South Australia in 2021 and now operating across South Australia and Queensland.
Unlike generalist NDIS providers offering multiple disability services, WIRU focuses exclusively on Specialist Navigation.
We do not provide direct support work, accommodation or community participation services. This allows our Navigators to maintain an independent focus on the participant, their goals and the supports that are right for them.
Our Specialist Navigators are qualified Social Workers who maintain professional membership and accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Their professional knowledge and experience inform the way they navigate complexity, collaborate across systems, identify barriers and support participants to build stronger and more sustainable support networks.
Specialist Specialist Navigation is our sole NDIS service.
Professional Our Navigators are qualified Social Workers with AASW professional standing.
Independent We don't provide direct care or accommodation, supporting independent and participant-focused navigation.
Boutique Our Navigators maintain small caseloads, allowing greater continuity, responsiveness and individual attention.
WIRU has particular experience supporting participants whose circumstances intersect with multiple systems. Our Specialist Navigators work collaboratively across:

community and forensic mental health
justice and correctional services
guardianship and formal decision-making arrangements
housing and accommodation systems
behaviour support and safeguarding
complex transitions and service breakdowns
Our role is to help bring the different parts of a participant's support network together while keeping their rights, choices, goals and NDIS plan at the centre.
Working alongside participants and the people around them. We work with NDIS participants experiencing complex circumstances and collaborate, where appropriate, with:

families and nominees
guardians and advocates
NDIA and NDIS professionals
hospitals and health professionals
community and forensic mental health teams
justice and correctional services
behaviour support practitioners
housing and accommodation providers
other mainstream and community services
WIRU intentionally maintains small caseloads so our Specialist Navigators have the time and capacity to understand each participant, remain actively involved and work collaboratively across their support network.
Our approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive and person-centred.

Established in South Australia, WIRU now provides Specialist Navigation across:
South Australia Metropolitan, regional services and Remote Communities.
Queensland Brisbane, Southeast Queensland and selected regional areas.Face-to-face and remote service options are available depending on location and participant needs.
